What We Believe

We Believe that…

The Bible is the inerrant, written Word of God; inspired by the Holy Ghost; for the purpose of revealing God to the human race. (II Timothy 3: 16-17; II Peter 1:19-21; Revelation 22:18-19)

There is one God and only one God. He is personal and knowable. He manifests Himself in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7)

Jesus Christ is the Son of God; He was virgin-born, manifested in the flesh, and sinless; He is the chosen Messiah who will one day set up His kingdom on earth. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1&14; Revelation 11:15)

Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of all mankind; He was buried, then arose from the dead; and He ascended back to heaven. (Isaiah 53:12; Mark 15:27&28; Mark 16:6; Mark 16:19)

All people are sinners, guilty before God, deserving of judgment, and in need of salvation via Jesus Christ, the Savior. (Romans 3:23; Ezekiel 18:20; Romans 6:23; Psalm 9:17; Matthew 13:49-50)

Salvation from sin, death, and hell is by God's grace, based our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, alone. It cannot be attained by any human performance or merit. (John 14:6; Acts 16:31; Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9)

Eternal life is a gift of God, and nothing can separate the believer from the love of God. (John 3:16; John 10:28-29; Romans 8:38-39)

Unbelievers face eternal punishment. Believers face eternal life. (Matthew 25:46; II Thessalonians 1:8-10; Revelation 20:11-15; John 3:15)

All believers are to live holy before God, as models of Jesus Christ; be the children of Light, the Light of the world, and the salt of the earth, in order to affect positive change in others. And, all believers are to attend a Bible-believing church, for mutual edification, service, and worship unto God. (I Thessalonians 4:7; II Tim. 2:21; Eph. 5:1-17; Matthew 5:13; Hebrews 10:24-25)
